Project Overview

Compass Management hired Erickson Asphalt to complete the third and final phase of a community wide driveway replacement project at a homeowners association in Albertville, MN.

The project included the replacement of approximately 22,240 square feet of asphalt throughout the remaining section of the community. During planning, our team also identified several concrete sidewalk sections with trip hazards caused by settling, heaving, and deterioration.

To provide a safer and more complete finished project, the scope was expanded to include concrete sidewalk rehabilitation before the asphalt replacement work began.

Challenges

Tight access between the townhome buildings required careful planning throughout the project. Decorative landscaping and irrigation systems were located close to the work areas, requiring precise equipment operation to prevent damage.

Vehicles parked along the curb lines also created challenges when positioning dump trucks and paving equipment. Our crews coordinated each phase of the work to maintain access and minimize disruption for residents while safely completing the project.

Results

Erickson Asphalt completed the third and final phase of the association’s driveway replacement project, providing new asphalt surfaces throughout the remaining section of the community.

Replacing the damaged sidewalk sections eliminated trip hazards and created better transitions between the concrete walkways and asphalt driveways. The completed asphalt replacement and concrete sidewalk rehabilitation improved safety, access, and the overall appearance of the Albertville property.

Erickson Asphalt looks forward to helping the association protect its new pavement through future sealcoating and ongoing asphalt maintenance.
