River Valley Soils

Permit Requirements

The City of Anoka requires driveway permits through the Planning and Zoning Division. Driveways must be paved with asphalt, concrete, brick, or similar hard surface. Driveway aprons must be concrete, at least six inches thick, installed over a Class V base. If your property connects to a county road, you will also need an access permit from Anoka County. Routine sealcoating does not require a permit. We determine what is needed upfront and handle the coordination.
