We recently had the pleasure of working on a significant project for World of Life Church, a vibrant Slavic community church in Zimmerman, MN. At Erickson Asphalt, we pride ourselves on delivering top-notch paving solutions, and this project was no exception.
We began by removing 41,000 square feet of the existing asphalt. Upon removal, we discovered no base underneath, critical for a long-lasting and durable parking lot. To address this, we established a class 7 base to ensure a solid 6-inch foundation. This step is crucial as it provides the necessary support for the asphalt, ensuring its longevity and durability.
We expanded the parking area by an additional 30,000 square feet to accommodate the church's growing congregation. This expansion brought the total number of parking stalls to over 100, providing ample space for church members and visitors.
After establishing the base, we graded the area with precision for proper drainage. We then paved the lot with 1300 tons of asphalt, using a 3” lift. Providing a seamless surface without any rough patches was crucial for the church, and we ensured we met that expectation.
After the asphalt was laid, we striped the parking lot, ensuring it met current ADA regulations. We also partnered with the church to get their input on the parking lot layout, ensuring it met their needs and preferences.
The entire project, from start to finish, was completed in just one week. This swift turnaround was crucial for the church, and we were proud to meet their timeline without compromising on quality. Upon completion, we walked the entire lot with the church representatives to ensure they were fully satisfied with the work.
