At Erickson Asphalt, we recently took on an extensive project for the Boilermakers Local 647 Union Hall located in Ramsey, MN. With over 35 years of experience, we handled every aspect of this project with precision and efficiency, ensuring the highest quality results for our client.
We started by removing approximately 20,000 square feet of old asphalt and concrete. Our team also widened the driveway to the back area by removing the old curb and grass, allowing for better access and functionality.
Next, we installed new surmountable concrete curbs. These curbs, unlike traditional ones, are designed to allow vehicles to drive over them easily, providing both safety and convenience.
Recognizing the need for a specialized area, we installed a concrete parking pad for motorcycles. We chose concrete because motorcycle kickstands can cause damage to asphalt, especially on hot Minnesota days when asphalt softens and becomes more susceptible to impressions.
For the main parking lot, we used 350 tons of asphalt, ensuring a smooth and durable surface. To achieve the highest density and asphalt mat quality, we employed a combination steel drum and rubber tire roller. Finally, we striped the parking lot, ensuring it complies with current ADA regulations.
We completed the entire project in just five days, demonstrating our commitment to efficiency without compromising on quality. The result is a fully renovated and functional parking lot that meets the needs of Boilermakers Local 647 Union Hall and its members.
At Erickson Asphalt, we take pride in our work and the positive impact it has on our community. This project showcases our dedication, expertise, and the trust our clients place in us.
