We recently completed a significant project at Bandar Center, located at 2211 Broadway St, NE, Minneapolis, MN. The parking lot, which spans 50,000 square feet, had been seriously neglected, presenting a challenging but rewarding opportunity for us to demonstrate our expertise.
We began by performing a full-depth reclamation (FDR) of the existing pavement. Our asphalt reclaiming unit pulverized the old asphalt, mixing it into the existing base. This method saved costs and supported our commitment to environmental responsibility by recycling the existing materials. This approach reduced the need for hauling and the energy required to process the old asphalt.
After ensuring the old asphalt was properly mixed into the existing base, we regraded the parking lot. This step was crucial in resolving the drainage issues that had been plaguing the parking lot.
With the base properly prepared, we laid down 850 tons of hot mix asphalt at a depth of 3 inches. The project presented some obstacles, such as working around the existing fence, but our team handled these challenges with precision and efficiency.
To finish, we striped the newly paved lot. From start to finish, the entire project was completed in just three days, a testament to our team's skill and dedication. The transformation was remarkable, as you can see from the photos. We take pride in knowing that we’ve revitalized Brede Center’s parking lot, delivering both quality and value.
