Erickson Asphalt & Concrete recently had the privilege to undertake a comprehensive parking lot maintenance project for one of Piedmont Office Realty Trust's commercial buildings: the Crescent Ridge II located in Minnetonka, MN. Renowned for its expansive portfolio of commercial properties, Piedmont had a specific challenge in mind. The office building's parking lot, spanning an impressive 300,000 square feet, needed sealcoating and striping. Part of the 300,000 square feet included the first floor of the parking garage. But there was a catch - the task had to be completed over a single weekend to minimize disruptions to their operations.
Given the nature and size of this project, it was certainly no small feat. However, our vast arsenal of equipment combined with our team's expertise gave us the confidence to meet Piedmont's request. Our team was on-site bright and early on Saturday morning, beginning with thoroughly cleaning the lot. A prepared surface ensures the sealcoating adheres to the existing asphalt, delivering a great final product.
To accelerate the process, we deployed multiple teams in tandem, focusing on sealing the numerous cracks to ensure the longevity and durability of the asphalt.
Once sections of the lot had been crack sealed, our sealcoating team started to apply sealcoating. The scale of the project was evident when considering the sheer volume of materials used. Over the course of the day, two coats of sealcoating were applied, using a total of 7,200 gallons of coating material.
Sunday saw a continuation of our team's hard work, this time transitioning to the restriping of the lot. And as dusk settled on Sunday evening, a transformed parking lot was open for traffic, a testament to Erickson Asphalt's commitment to excellence.
The successful completion of this project within the timeframe underscores our dedication to quality and timeliness. It stands as a shining example of our ability to meet and exceed client expectations, regardless of the project's scale or constraints.
