Project Recap: Circle K / Holiday Gas Station Overlay – Circle Pines, MN
Erickson Asphalt & Concrete recently wrapped up a high-efficiency asphalt overlay project for Circle K / Holiday in Circle Pines, MN. This busy gas station on Lake Drive needed a new pavement surface—but without interrupting day-to-day operations. That meant planning, precision, and speed were non-negotiable.
The project spanned 11,700 square feet and required milling of the existing surface followed by a 2" asphalt overlay. From start to finish, the entire operation was completed in a single day.
We kicked things off early with a 4-hour milling, sweeping, and surface prep window, working in tight coordination to ensure the fueling areas remained open and operational. Immediately after prep, we shifted into paving mode—laying down 156 tons of hot mix asphalt in a uniform 2-inch lift across the site.
Despite the tight turnaround, our crew didn’t cut corners. The work area included high-traffic zones around fuel pumps and storefronts, so maintaining clean transitions and safe access points was critical. Every move was planned to avoid customer disruptions and ensure the business could stay fully functional throughout the day.
Once paving was complete, we went the extra mile by addressing potholes in the unpaved sections—filling and compacting them to help extend their life until the next phase of improvements can be scheduled.
This project is a strong example of our ability to deliver commercial asphalt paving solutions on a tight schedule without compromising safety, quality, or customer access. From logistical planning to execution, the Erickson team showed up ready and delivered results that will hold up for years to come.
