At Erickson Asphalt, we take pride in our commitment to delivering quality and efficient service, which is exemplified in our recent project at Mike’s Discount Foods in Princeton, a well-known discount grocery store in the Minneapolis metro area. Our team took on the significant task of revitalizing their expansive 70,000 square foot parking lot, a key component of their customer experience.
Our initial task involved installing concrete islands and one concrete approach. This foundational work, essential for the parking lot's functionality, was completed in a week, including the necessary time for the concrete to cure. This set the stage for the main event - the paving.
We discovered during the milling process that parts of the existing asphalt were thinner than expected. This required us to patch these areas, ensuring the new overlay would have uniform depth and quality. After resolving these challenges, we laid 1050 tons of asphalt, transforming the parking lot's surface into a durable and visually appealing space.
The final step was painting the parking lot lines, where we carefully ensured that every detail complied with current ADA regulations. This focus on compliance enhanced the parking lot's appearance and made it accessible and safe for all customers.
Our team efficiently completed the paving of the retail parking lot in just three days. A key aspect of this project was to ensure that Mike's Discount Foods remained open and accessible to customers throughout the process. To achieve this, we collaborated closely with their management team, strategically coordinating our construction activities to minimize any disruption and seamlessly maintain the store’s operations.
This project stands as a testament to Erickson Asphalt's dedication to delivering top-tier commercial paving solutions while accommodating our client's operational needs. With over 30 years of experience serving the Minneapolis metro area, this project at Mike’s Discount Foods further cements our reputation for excellence in paving services.
